I would like to share a story with you. The story of how I got into custom decorated sugar cookies.

I have been making cookies since the winter of 2012 as a hobby. I have always been crafty and thought cookies would be a fun thing to do. I also thought it would be a good way to keep my sanity after I left the work force in 2010. I left my regular 9-5 job because my oldest son, Matthew, is legally disabled and required a lot of attention. It was more than I could provide with a full time job. So, after talking to my fiancĂ©, he and I both knew it would be difficult financially, but it was the right choice for us. After three years of just being in "mommy mode", I realized I needed something to feed my soul and I needed a creative outlet. So, while on Facebook I saw cookies made by Erin of "Whip it Good Cookies" and I WAS INSPIRED. After, watching every video I could find on YouTube and reading every blog, I started making cookies. Let me tell you I didn't know what I was doing, but it was fun! It became an addiction and one I could potentially use to make a little extra income. So, in February of 2013 I began to sell cookies and the business, with the help of family and loyal clients, has grown slowly, but surely.

Decorating cookies has become a way to bring in some extra income for our household, my husband is a school teacher and a disabled vet, and funds were/are tight but baking allows us to help pay for doctors, therapy and any little extras. It also allows me the freedom to still be there for my kids at the drop of a hat which I value so much. Finding this art form truly feeds my heart, soul and most importantly my sanity. So, when you order from me you are helping to support my little family.

Thank you to everyone who supports me and especially my clients, without you I couldn't continue this journey of creating edible art for you.
